Director of Development

Merrimack Repertory Theatre, a LORT D regional theatre located in Lowell, MA, is seeking a full time Director of Development (DoD) to work closely with a broad range of constituents, including MRT leaders and staff, Board of Trustees, volunteers, and other organizations in order to raise $1.5 million. The DoD will find eager and experienced fundraisers on the executive team and strong support for development across the organization including the Board.  The director leads all development efforts including strategy, financial forecasting and reporting, and design and execution of all campaigns.  The DoD is responsible for all contributed income for the organization including institutional giving, annual fund (individuals), major gifts, Trustee giving, corporate sponsorship, events, and planned giving. They report the Executive Director; work closely with the Artistic Director; and provide development leadership and support to the Board.

Development efforts should align with MRT’s strategic goals including creating compelling theatrical experiences; making MRT a top destination in the Merrimack Valley; expanding programming for K-12 students; engage in meaningful partnerships with local organizations; and advance equity in all areas of MRT. Position: Director of Development, Full Time, Health and Benefits
Valid driver’s license. Some nights and weekends. Partial remote schedule available.
Classification: Full time. Reports to MRT’s Executive Director.
Salary: $70-75k, health and benefits
