SYNOPSIS: Ten years after the Salem witch trials, a notorious young accuser seeks salvation in Boston, only to find her new life haunted by terrors of the past. She’ll have to confront the demons of her past - and present - in this eerie and quintessentially New England tale from one of America's master horror writers. For Abigail, forgiveness is everything—but it may come at an unthinkable price. Set in Salem, Boston, and the road in between them, you’ll experience how these figures lived, breathed, and perished in the aftermath of one of America’s earliest tragedies.
SEEKING: THOMAS, Young Male (but will consider Female if willing/able to play a boy) Age range 10-13. Any Ethnicity. Must be able to sing (i.e. a church hymn/choral). Plays the ‘adoptive child' of Ruth/Abigail. Lives in an orphanage, but is ‘friends’ with Ruth/Abigail and admires her as such. Imaginative, curious, and takes a keen interest in wild tales and adventure of sailors and pirates.
Children interested in auditioning should prepare one monologue or selection from a book, up to one and a half minutes (1.5) long. Please also prepare a song of their choice to be sung a cappella.
